On the 29th of April, Av-Comm Space & Defence team members George Campbell and James Tafuro attended the 28th PITA AGM in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

The event was a great opportunity to connect with our Pacific neighbours and gain deeper appreciation and insights into the challenges and opportunities within the region.

A particular highlight was attending the all-women leader panel discussing digital inclusion and connectivity in the Pacific, showing our team the value and impact of satellite communications in expanding connectivity, inclusions and enhancing infrastructure, and promoting digital literacy to empower communities and foster economic development.

It was great to catch up with old friends and make new connections, all whilst exemplifying why Av-Comm stands as the preeminent ground segment provider in the region with over 40 years of experience working in and around the Pacific.

PITA remains as one of the highlights of our year. For those of you who we didn’t manage to see, we will see you at the next one!
